About Jay Cohen
Dr. Jay Cohen has been serving as an organizational consultant, executive coach, and clinical practitioner for nearly 20 years, providing strategic planning and consulting to non-profits, and helping to strengthen organizations and their leaders and staff through a strength and growth-based approach to personal and professional development. Dr. Cohen earned his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Wayne State University in 2006. He is a member of APA (Div. 18) and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and serves on an ACHE Regent’s Advisory Council (RAC). Dr. Cohen is a recipient of American Psychological Association (APA) Division 18 VA Section’s “Outstanding Administrator” Award as well as the “Award for Outstanding Contributions in Psychosocial Rehabilitation.”
Dr. Cohen brings a wealth of experience as an executive coach and has served as a mentor for many on their professional development journeys. Dr. Cohen has significant experience advising healthcare organizations in compliance and accreditation, as well as leading health care systems through significant transformation efforts that include quality improvement, building relationships with community partners and stakeholders, innovation and care expansion.
Dr. Cohen has published more than 20 scholarly articles in academic and professional journals and is a licensed clinical psychologist in the State of Michigan. Dr. Cohen is a recent graduate of the Federal Executive Institute (FEI) and is currently a Partnership for Public Service (PPS) Excellence in Government (EIG) Fellow.
